And now:

I spent over a year hitchhiking and backpacking through central and
southern Africa back in '92/'93 and then another six months through Japan,
Australia, and Fiji. I had been living in San Diego, CA since early '94,
with a few short trips tossed in. I left on this, my most recent trip,
coincidentally five years to the day that I left for Africa. I spent just
shy of two months riding an old BMW motorcycle through most of our national
parks while camping my way across thirty one states and covering just over
9,100 miles.
Since November of '97 I've been backpacking through a good portion of South
America and as was the case in my previous travels, I've been enjoying
meeting the people, exploring the culture, and surfing the waves of the
countries I've visited. This world is an absolutely amazing place. And I
can't picture myself tiring of this lifestyle anytime soon. I wish
everyone well in their lives and until the day we meet again.
Stay well...and Travel.
Mitch
